upcoming weekend...

this weekend is going to be fun and relaxing at the same time! hopefully...

tonight we are going to eat at Two Rows and have some brews with Matt and Chelsea and then go to see 'Burn after Reading' with Brad Pitt and George Clooney. it looks hilair, so i am so excited to see it. aaannndd... best of all we have a gift card we forgot about that we get to use for the movie!! woo hoo, i always love when that happens!!!

tomorrow morning i think i am going to get up and run my short 4 miles and then we are going to cedar creek lake with my parents and their friends ronnie and pam. we are taking our jet ski and it will probably be one of the last lake outings for the year. its supposed to get cooler next week and then i am hoping that it will stay that way. should be a fun day at the lake... i am thinking about taking Bentley. she just loves the lake but Benz isnt much of a swimmer...he just kinda sinks to the bottom, poor thing.

anyways, Sunday we plan on realxing and running and cleaning and getting ready to do this thing alll over again.... Sunday i plan on posting a ton of pictures from stuff lately til now!!! get excited!!!

this weekend...

My niece turned 2!!!! that is the dress up stuff chan and i sent for her! hope she loves it!!! isnt she so freakin cute!!

well... i dont have pictures uploaded yet from everything else going on from last weekend to this weekend. friday chan and i enjoyed the movie 'cleaner' with samual l. jackson. it was awesome but i fell asleep at the very end because we also enjoyed our first Octoberfest beers of the season. needless to say, with all the work and running i was sleepy. :)

saturday i went to a wedding shower with my mom. it is always fun to see people you havent seen in a while and to catch up on everyone. then saturday night chan cooked up some bratwurst and we watched football! we hit the hay pretty early so i could get some rest for my big upcoming run on Sunday.

sunday we cleaned did yard work etc and i drank water gatorade and vitamin water ALL day long. i started my run about 4:30 with chan riding by my side almost the whole time with water and gatorade for me if i needed it. 21 miles later i was finished and physically and emotionally tired. there were some tears, but probably because i am dramatic...you think? i have never wished for a hot tub so much in my life... ha ha

anyway, so we are starting the week on a tired but good note. hope everyone had a great weekend and maybe tonight i will get to uploading those pictures from whats been going on in our lives.

Pumpkin Spice Latte
a delicious blend of pumpkin and traditional fall spice flavors combined with our signature espresso and freshly steamed milk, and topped with whipped cream and pumpkin pie spices.

so usually i drink water ALL day long after my cup of coffee and my red bull.... but today i am drinking an extra bottle of water just to justify the latte!!! yummmmmmm....it just made my afternoon with the cool weather it is perfect!!!

14 MILES

I DID IT!! I ran my 14 miles last night on my training schedule. I ran it in 2 hours and 21 minutes! Almost my goal time. This is the first time I have run that distance and I am pretty proud of myself. On another note, Chandler has been riding at White Rock lake most everyday and I am so proud of him. He is really working hard too!!!

So... this is what Ike did at my Parents house. Yep, thats my mom with the 'BIG' branch that came down in their backyard! She was brave enough to go out into the storm and clean up. My dad was brave enough to stage the picture!

new blog for my niece...maybe

i designed this for my niece who is turning two this week. we are having trouble getting it to post on her blog. hopefully it will work before her birthday! on another note...we kept chandler's cousins ellie and macie this weekend. it went great and i will post pictures probably tomorrow about our weekend! it rained all day saturday, thank you ike, but didnt storm as badly as we thought. sunday was sunny and a perfect day for the park and the pool!! thank goodness no rain!

i run 14 miles tonight and thats why my picture post will probably be tomorrow!

on another note...we are so thankful that the storm wasnt so bad for us, but we have family in Houston all without power and a brand new baby plus a toddler. please pray for them and that everything gets sorted out sooner than later!! everyone is ok and we are so thankful for that!!

lately...and coming up!

ok, so last weekend as i mentioned in my last post we went to go see chans old track coach play some musica! we went to dave and cindy's before for pizza and drinks and had such a good time. i think the pictures are pretty good. i didnt get all of them on here but below are some good ones of all the fun that we had. this weekend starting tonight we are keeping chans cousins ellie and macie for the weekend. tonight we are going out to eat and playing games so cousin chandler can watch football while we play games. tomorrow we had planned on waking up going to macies soccer game and then heading out to our house to swim, but IKE is going to get in our way i have a feeling. so we may just be swimming early tomorrow and watching movies that afternoon and evening. since chan and i are the coolest cousins EVER we are renting a movie they want to watch and making ice cream sundaes!! i bought everything imaginable for them yesterday and i am going to let the girls make their own! oh man, this should be fun! before all that we may end up going out to eat again, because may i remind everyone that chan and i yet to have kiddos of our own and dont have that many kid friendly snacks in our house and we thought the girls might like to go out again. we are really excited!! we also found out this week that we will have the opportunity to buy bleacher seats for the Neiman Marcus Childrens Xmas Parade and i think we are going to take ellie and macie to that as well. woo hoooo... fall and winter are coming up and cooler weather is on its way... hopefully. i am jealous of cody and jeannie already having cooler weather.

that reminds me of another thing coming up! my niece Judah is turning 2, holy cow, in about a week and i cant wait for her to get the birthday gift from aunt kels and uncle chan! just a hint... it will be ALL THINGS GIRLY that a two year old should have!!

anyways, we have had a pretty good week... same old same old and i am getting closer and closer to the marathon! my shins have been killing me after my long runs but i think i can make it just fine!!

going on lately...

we have not been that exciting lately...

last weekend we relaxing friday cooking out and watching football. saturday we worked in the yard all day and went out to eat that night. sunday we went to the lake with the jet ski and had a great time relaxing!! we finally figured out the easiest way to get the jet ski in on the mossy ramp that is by our house. woo hoo!!! labor day was relaxing for me! i went to our pool and laid out with chans mom and chelsea. we stayed out there for a while and got some good sun. maybe a little too much sun!!

this week has been good so far! it has been rainy a few days this week and that annoys chan because he cant go ride at white rock when it is rainy. i have been keeping up with my marathon training and i feel like i am doing pretty good. this week was my second ten mile run and my time is getting better. tonight i have an eight mile run... it should go just fine.

this weekend we are going to some Friday night football in plano with tami and bryson. tamis brother n law is a football coach so we are going to go watch with them... i love the fall and football time. it takes me back to my good ol fashioned drill team days ha ha. thats my favorite part...HALF TIME!

saturday night we are going with a lot of family to see buzz andrews play. that is chandlers old high school football coach and he is kinda a one man band. he is so great and puts on a great show. he actually played at our wedding. sunday i am sure that we will relax and get ready for the week!

the next weekend we are keeping chandler's little cousins ellie and macie. they are so fun and cute and we cant wait to hang out with them all weekend. we will probably have pictures of our movie night and at our pool and making ice cream sundaes!!! woo hooo!!
