my hubby suprised ME!

woo hoo this weekend... well starting today after work we are headed to Frederickburg Texas!!! we are staying at a bed and breakfast and going to a lot of the wineries there and also plan to eat some and shop while we are there too! ;)





chan suprised me last night when i walked in from work... he said there was no time to go work out because i needed to pack... he told me where we were going and i was so excited i have always wanted to go! he actually kept it a suprise which is totally unlike him! way to go babe!!! i am so excited and happy birthday to me!

the picture above is where we are staying. we have some friends that have stayed there and loved it, thanks shelby and brandon for giving chan the great tip!!

it is that time again!

yes, thats right, its my birthday week... and you know what that means.... yes, one way or another i will for sure be eating a 'sprinkles' cupcake this week!

i still have pictures to post but i may just move on to the present... i am way behind on that!

this past weekend we went to a place called 'Poppy's' in downtown McKinney with matt and chels. we had such a blast and stayed til late eating and drinking wine and enjoying good company.

saturday we 'relaxed' pretty much all day... chandler had soccer practice for a rec team he will be playing with this fall. i really think he is going to have a blast!

we grilled out and watched tv and relaxed for the rest of the night.

yesterday was church and getting chandler's cousin erica's baby shower invitations done...they turned out great! chan went and rode his bike (lance armstrong style) with his brother tyler and i ran outside. this summer i have run mostly inside because of the horrible heat, but i decided to venture outside yesterday afternoon. i ran three miles in what felt like a MAJOR sauna. it was so steamy... not that hot but steamy, i felt like it was so hard to breath! but, hey, i did it!! i love running and i love that feeling of accomplishment i get after a good hard run!

we ate dinner and relaxed the rest of the night and got ready for the week i have deemed: MY BIRTHDAY WEEK!! yes, folks... i will turn the big 2-6 this friday so mark your calendars!!!

so today is a great monday because every day of my birthday week is GREAT! how can it not be?!

dont forget that tonight is the bachelorette finalle... i dont care if you make fun of me...i still watch it and will be watching tonight...

a lot

we have had a lot going on so i thought i would write before i finally get a picture post on here to update our pictures.

lets see... our house is still on the market... we have had a few lookers with positive feedback but no bites yet... i am staying positive about this...

in june we had a Mill's family reunion in McKinney TX. the Mills is Chandler's mom's family. we had a great time visiting with ALL of the family from kansas that came down. it was great to see everyone and meet some new people from her side of the family. it was also great to have granddad here for a few days. we dont get to see that part of the family alot.

we have been out on the jet ski here and there when we havent had something to do!

for the fourth of july, everyone came out to our house. the diviney's the galloway's the farmer's kelly and austin and ife!! we had a blast out at our pool playing volleyball and laying out having a nice beer-rita or three. cody jeannie and judah were also in town that weekend so we spent some good ol family time with them too. they brought judah out to swim a couple of times and i got some precious time with my sweet judah girl. i miss them a lot, but maybe sometime in the future they will be close again.

also, tyler's (chans brother) birthday was on july 11.... we also went to a wedding that day. cody's birthday is today, he is 30.... CRAZY. also, our friend melvin's birthday is today too!

i feel like i am leaving a ton out, but maybe i will remember when i put the pictures up! i feel like i am still recovering from the fourth of july weekend... energy wise... i guess getting older means it takes longer to recover from fun filled weekends.... it was fun and worth it! :)

lets see.... my birthday is coming up! the big 2-6! weird... 25 felt like a big deal and kind of made me feel validated as an adult... 26 seems like the same old same old... i am excited for my brithday as i always am though!

anyhow.... i think thats really all i have to write about right now...

the little house that could.....

here it is folks.... the house that is for sale. it is 1790 sq feet. 4 bedrooms, 2 baths. here are a few pics from the little flyer... just enough to get someone interested maybe.... we shall see.... we really need to be closer to Dallas for work. i work in uptown and chandler works by 35 and 635... so needless to say.... a move closer in would be great! if you know anyone looking for a great neighborhood and a cute house, this would be for them. we are at the corner of hwy 205 and hwy 78.... right smack dab in the middle of rockwall and wylie tx. close to a lot of stuff and so much is being built as we speak... new super target, new tom thumb.... etc etc.... send this to anyone you know that might be interested!

i am going to post links and pictures on here ASAP...... but if anyone knows someone looking for a house near Wylie TX or Rockwall TX the house is right in between those in a great developement called GRAND HERITAGE.

send them our way.... we really NEED to be closer to our jobs and are looking to move to Lake Highlands if and only if our house sells.

keep your eyes out for the next post that will have links and pics of our house! say a little prayer for us that it sells and we get close to our asking price... we really need to break even on this one. it might take a while, which is fine with us, but we are trusting that God is in control of this situation!

my attempt at an update!

well, this post is my attempt at updating our blog....the dogs are on here.....thats benz in the morning wheile i get ready at my vanity... thats my grandmas chair and he loves to 'hide' under it, he just doesnt realize that he's too big.... thats bentley after our attempt once again to cut her ourselves. well, it didnt go so well and she has grown out since....

the rest are from easter and then from mothers day at our house with both our families.... one is of our new island for the kitchen that i love....one is my bike because i forgot if i put 'sheila' on here yet , and yes, thats just the bikes name, and no i didnt name her she came with that name on her already... chan has been brewing beer again and so one is of him in that process!

ok, now i promis to keep everyone updated.... my hair is about to change in the coming weeks....i know you will hang on the edge of your seats for that!! but, really, we will try to keep this thing updated better from now on.... promise!

Canton, Our 'Kids', and why am I so TIRED!?

this is what i have felt like lately... why i am so tired you ask.... well, i dont know!

we have been working out a lot, running when we dont ride our bikes, but thats not really anything out of the ordinary!

who knows... maybe its spring fever....

some of those pics are from canton weekend with the girls, my mom lynda M.I.L and janet. we had such a great time and found a few good deals too! the one of chan and i are from chels's birthday celebration! the others are of our 'kids' as we like to call them.... our dogs.... benz loves to get under my vanity chair a lot of mornings and just sleep there.... sometimes bentley gets under it too and then they start palying... its pretty funny....

please pray that this exhaustion goes away. i am trying to just push through it because i am sure it wont last, but boy its killing me!

sorry my posts have been so boring... not that they aren't usually but i havent felt like updating the blog, but i sure like reading them so i am going to try to be better at that!!!!!

4 YEARS!!!! Seems just like yesterday....

these are pictures of my BEAUTIFUL anniversary flowers that chan sent me from cymbidium... only my fave place to get flowers from... p.s. they also have a new show on TLC.... i loved it.

anyways, i cant believe that it is our 4 year anniversary. time has flown by. we have had a great four years and have really worked at making it great and i think we have both grown and learned a lot from each other in four years. chan is funny, loving, a provider, a great dad to benz and bentley, a great friend, someone who has taught me a lot in 4 years.

to chan (hope this doesnt embarass you): i love you more and more each day. it doesnt seem like its been 4 years because i have enjoyed it so much, they say time flys when you are having fun! you never cease to make me laugh and smile. thank you for always being there for me no matter what. we have some exciting times ahead and i cant wait to keep experiancing life with you everyday! i love you.

ok ok ok, sorry for the mushh. we are going out to eat tonight and then relaxing before our weekend haha. we have a busy one ahead.... dinners and basketball games etc etc. oh and the lake and CANTON too!

its friday and im thankful

we had a great work week. we started off monday working of course and then met up after work for a 14 mile bike ride. nothing for chan but a great accomplishment for me, it was my first one EVER. chan rides a lot and 14 miles is such a short ride for him but he stuck with me and let us go slower than usual. it was a lot more of a work out than i really thought it was going to be. i am still running in between and i am hoping to run a half marathon next weekend actually. i figure why not?

i dont know who all knows this but chandler brews his own beer. not all of the time of course, but it is a hobby that he likes and is very good at. tuesday he decided to brew the first brew in a long time. i sat out with him while he did all of the work and it seems to have gone really well. he did an apricot beer. it always smells so good when its brewing. it smells like bread baking. its so fun for me to watch when chan is brewing. he enjoys it so much and that is so fun for me. i bet you want to try some when its ready.

the rain and weather did not really cooperate the rest of the week. there was rain and wind and now cold. so for the last few days i have run inside. even if i just run three miles i feel great. i love the feeling you get afterwards. we dont have much planned for the weekend. tonight we will just hang out at the house and i am sure basketball will be on. tomorrow we are going to do what we usually do, hang out get the house picked up etc etc etc.... my good friend chelsea's 25th birthday was this week, shout out chels.... anyway, we may be getting together to celebrate chels! if sundays weather is nice we hope to go out for a long ride. maybe some friends will join us if they can.

i do have a few pictures from this week. i will post them after the weekend. we are so exciting i am sure you want to see everything we have been up to.

okie dokie

ok,

so we have been very very busy and have done a lot since our last post. i am upset though because i forgot my camera at most everything so i dont have pictures to show that i have been busy.

so the last blog we had just gotten back from coly... yes, i say coly, i like to shorten words. no, i love to shorten words. just ask Ife. she hates it, but sometimes says a word shortened and that makes me happy.

anyways, i would also like to point out that my blog isnt very funny. i am not a great writer and basically i is just to update everyone on what we are doing. yeah, some people care ha ha, hard to believe i know.

one of the first things we did when we got back from coly was to celebrate our friend kellys birthday at blue mesa and top golf. man o man i love blue mesa and how i love those sweet potato chips. they are so yumm in my tumm. then after we ate we went over to top golf. i had driven past it a few times on my way home but never knew what it was. for someone who doesnt golf or know anything about the game, it was a blast. it is a two story driving range basically that has different games you can play because the balls have a chip in them to record where it landed , at least i think thats how it works. anyway, it was perfect for shelby ife and i because we dont play but they have a full service bar and grill. a few drinks a stolen fry later we were having a great time. they even have tvs for people to watch while golfing. i think the boys found their new fave hangout. oh lordy.

we have been really busy at work so that has been taking up our weeks. we have been working out and chan started riding at white rock again when the weather got nice. i have been running and will start riding as soon as my bike comes in. woo hoo.... we are going to try and ride the hotter than hell 100 mile bike ride in august in whichita falls. hope it goes well! i even got some padded shorts people... kinda looks like there is a diaper sewn into my shorts, it is pretty hilaire.

anyhow, that next weekend, i know you are on the edge of your seats to know what we did. well, here goes, i took the dogs to the groomers that friday and then that saturday we went to ft worth and went to the gingerman with shelbs and brandon and saw their new house again. they have done a lot and shelby has a room for a closet... its is awe. sunday we went home and got the rest of the house stuff done and yard stuff done and i cut coles hair. yes, very eventful weekend.

which brings me to this week. work work and more work! thank you Jesus we have jobs! wednesday we had a guy come over that builds custom furniture pieces and he is going to build me an island and a wine rack and a book shelf. cant wait for everyone to see them. they are going to look great! yesterday chan and i met at HH at houlihans and i tried to go shopping afterwards, usually great after a few drinks, but i didnt find anything. oh well, i promise i WILL try again.... and soon. so tonight we are grilling out chicken for chicken salads and hopefully watching a movie... then tomorrow we may go play disc golf out near where we live.... should be interesting, the last time i played i threw the disc and instead of going towards the basket hole thing it went straight behind me.... how does that happen.... bad throw i guess. then tomorrow evening hopefully we get to hang out with chels and matt and go to zanata with them if chels doesnt have the flu.... i hope she doesnt, i wanna hang out. not selfish really, its two fold, i hope she isnt sick and that we can have a good time eating pizza and drinking vino..... yummmmm

sunday should be church, hopefully, and then getting ready for the week all over again.

this was kinda boring so hopefully next time i will have a bunch of pictures.........

ohhh Colorado!

soooo, the pictures are from last to first but you will get the jist pf our trip to colorado..... it started with snow and ended with sweetness.... we got to winter park last thursday and went tubing... then the next day the guys went skiing and lynda (m.il.) went shopping and ate at a great little place called carvers... i had theBEST burger there with a glass of wine... i was on vaccation after all! the guys had a great day of skiing and so they went again the next day, go figure.... so lynda and i found a nice hot springs about 30 minutes away and it was awesome... we met some great friends and sat in the springs for about 4 to 5 hours and got some good sun! it was so awesome being surrounded by snow and the mountains and being so warm!

the next day scotts boots broke and he went shopping with us while the guys went skiing for a while and then relaxed for the rest of the day. the rest of us went to grand lake and went shopping and ate lunch, found a great brewery and a few finds.... lynda and i beat the guys in spades... it was awesome...

on to denver it was after an awesome trip with them fam... it was truly the relaxing fun thing we needed right at that moment! it was wonderful.... monday we headed into denver to go see cody jeannie and the sweetest ever judah girl. we had a great time at the park and ate a awesome mexican casserole monday night and just relaxed with them. it was so great to see them in their element and see judah growing so much! she is the sweetest smartest little thing. and boy is she really a two year old... pushing all the limits and buttons... it was funny but we tried not to laugh too much... we dont want bad karma... :)

tuesday we went to the new belgium brewery in ft collins and got to do a tasting of four beers that we dont normally get here and then got to take the free tour.... it was a ton of fun... and so great that we got to do it with my brother. we went home and relaxed some more... played the wii.... played with judah ate some yummmy pappa murphys pizza had some wine and watched some flight of the concords ha ha ha... it was awesome. really just the best time spent with them... i really miss them a lot and it was awesome to get to spend some time with them. we got up early the next day so cody could take us to the airport and got on our plane to come back to dallas... it was a great trip, but we were so glad to see our puppies.... cole did an awesome job with them while we were gone but we missed them! it also felt great to sleep in our own bed too....

today we were back to the daily grind as we call it, but its good to be back... we both had a great day at work and are glad tomorrow is friday! this weekend we have house work kellys birthday party at blue mesa and top golf and then church.... i am looking forward to my saturday morning!
