ice ice baby.....

welllll.....

i was trying to upload pictures again and i cant right now. so, i will just update everyone on what we were up to this weekend and what the weather is like. yes, i know, exciting!!

so this last week we did a cleanse and we feel great! this weekend we ate at a mexican food place by our house that has turned out to be a great place to eat! we did that friday night and then saturday got up and ran 6 miles and did some things around the house and kind of relaxed. of course the x games were on non stop at the balch household, but at least i actually do like watching that!!

saturday night we got all gussied up and tried a new bar and grill called Houlihans in fire wheel town center. it was really good, we thought. we shared an appetizer and decided to share a sandwhich because the appetizer was so huge! we both had a beverage and had a great time! we went across the street to best buy to check out all the cool stuff they have right now. they have a ton of good deals, but we are going to wait just a tad bit longer on the lap top. chan was actually looking for an electric shaver for his face but they didnt have it in store, but he ended up getting it online waayyy cheaper and for free shipping! cant beat that!

this week has gone pretty good considering it is only tuesday, which brings me to ice ice baby. we are supposed to get ice and sleet later today and the temp is only going to get colder and colder throughout the day. this should be a blast of a drive home! i cant wait to drive over an hour home gripping my steering wheel with the death grip! yeah, its going to be sooo fun!

a special congrats to chan's cousin Erica! she is preggers with their first child! we love them and wish them all the best and a happy and healthy pregnency and baby!!! sooo exciting!

Back to the Daily Grind....

so i have not written in a very LONG time. i dont even know if anyone reads this or not!

soooo, since my last post we had xmas! it turned out to be a GREAT fun time with all of our family. Mine and Chans. we started off with breakfast and mimosas xmas morning and ate all day after that. we opened great gifts and spent a lot of good fun time with family. we played mexican train and had a ton of fun doing that.

the next day i had to work and it wasnt bad at all. no one was really at work so it was a quiet day. that night i rushed home to get us ready for what was next!

THE CRUISE!

it was sooo much fun. started off a little rocky with brandon being a little sick but quickly turned around. he felt better the next day and fun was had by all of us. shelby and brandon, bryson and tami, and chandler and i.
it was a great group to go on a trip with. we went to cozemel (sp?) and progresso and had a blast on the oat when we werent on the beach. there was fake tatoos, lots of sol and corona and a cover-up being flushed down the toilet! we came away with so many great memories. also, we were able to spend new years eve on the boat and that was so great! i was actually looking at some pictures today and was laughing and smiling at what a fun time we had.

then we got back and went to work. we got news that my grandmother had a stroke and wasnt doing well at all. we were able to visit with her although she couldnt open her eyes or speak, but i think she knew we were there. for the rest of the week we just played the waiting game.

friday of that week started chels and matts wedding festivities! what a blast of a wedding that was. everything went great and went off without a hitch.

that saturday night we got word that my 93 year old grandmother had passed away. what a sweet lady she was. it was a sad and hard time, but she is in heaven with grandpa now and she is loving it i am sure of that!

the next monday and tuesday consisted of funeral things and we were able to pay a little tribute and say our final goodbyes for now to grandma.

during that hard time, we did get to see cody and jeannie and judah, which we love.

since then we have been trying to get back to normal. last weekend chandler went hunting with his dad and brother and i had a relaxing weekend at home... helped mom and dad go thru grandmas stuff and saw chans cousin ellie in the wizard of oz. she was the tin man and it was such a cute play!

i had this last monday off and boy did i need it!

soooo it is wednesday and we are making it to the end of the week nicely.

we are doing a 'cleanse' this week and that means no caffeine eating healthy and no alcohol. i am ok with two of those things, but not having a cup of coffee in the morning is KILLING me. i am so tired i can hardly stand it.

anyway i will try to post pictures later... blogger sucks at that.
