hey guys,

i will write another blog friday after xmas right before we leave saturday for our cruise... lordy lordy we are busy, but in a good way!

tonight is of course xmas eve and i love xmas!!! i am all gitty with excitement. i get a half day off work which gives me some time to go finish running some errands (yes i am crazy) and go to the grocery (even crazier)!! tonight chan and i will be hurrying to clean the house and get it all set up for xmas day festivities at our house.

we will clean and get some food ready to go for tomorrow. i will also do some laundry to start getting us prepared for our cruise! woo hooo! i think we will pop open some champagne or something fun for tonight since we will be doing all that work!

since i didnt have time to send out xmas cards everyone will be getting new years cards. yeah, so get excited!!!

also, i would like to mention one thing that really peaves me off right now. i am needing to go shopping for a few clothes to spruce things up on my side of the closet and of course when i can go shopping i am not finding anything... i only finds gobs of stuff when i dont need to be shopping... murphy's law i think....

we had xmas last sunday with the balch side of the family at chans aunt and uncles house (jeff and toni) and it was a lot of fun. good food, fun presents and i love that family!! to bad we dont see them way more often than we get to.

thank goodness its friday.... thats right folks... thank goodness...

ever since the marathon i have been fighting allergies/cold symptoms and i am tired of it. chandler had a day virus this week too... so we have been feeling a little under the weather. we are both feeling better today and so we shall celebrate with some drinks on the town ha ha, and some holiday shopping starting tonight. then tomorrow i will finish off shopping and grocery shopping and cleaning. well, chan will probably help with that a little....

anyways, i just wanted to say how thankful i am for the blessings that we have had this year. we are thankful to have a nice warm home, and nice cozy jobs, and cars that work to get us where we need to be, groceries for us to eat, and sweet dogs, and GREAT Family, and GREAT FRIENDS.

with everything going on right now, i am constantly reminding myself to just be thankful! thats it, just be thankful and happy and positive.

anyways, we are super busy this weekend and the next week really. i work everyday except xmas day, which is okay with me, but that just makes for a busy week. xmas day everyone is coming to my house.... i am really excited about that. this will be our first year hosting xmas and i hope it turns out well. also, the 27th of december we are leaving to go on a little cruise to mexico with our good friends tami and bryson and shelby and brandon... we come home after the new year so it will be a fun cruise to be on.... thats something else i need to remember to do... all our laundry and packing this weekend because i dont want to be rushed doing it the day before we go.

in other news: my little brother may be up for a promotion at sun and ski sports and so if you guys remember, if anyone actually reads this, please keep him in your prayers.... that would be a great opportunity for him and he would be very happy to get it. also, i am glad he has that job because he can get me a pair of uggs for a discount!! woop woop.... yeah boy yeah boy

i guess thats really all i have to say for today! ill finish drinking my green tea lemonade and hopefully wrap this work week up pretty soon.....

oh yeah, sunday we have a get together with some of chan's side of the family that i just love.... wine food presents and family..... good combo to me!!!

MARATHON 4hrs 22mins

soooo.... yes, folks i did it. 26.2 miles in four hours and twenty two minutes....
i couldnt have done it without all the support, especially from my awesome husband Chandler....he was my 'coach' and did a great job of keeping me motivated and going through ALL the training. he was so excited for me he hardly slept the night before...thank you to shelby and brandon too who ran it with me and trained all along the way too. thank you also to my parents, chans parents, and the beasley's (julie works with me) for coming out to support me. it means more than you guys will ever know... there were points that seeing all you guys got me thru!

and that is it my friends.... chan and i went to red robin for lunch afterwards... i hobbled in there and we ate a great lunch and had a BIG beer... hey i deserved it!

today is the day.... packet pick-up!!!!

oh yes my friends... really i dont know who reads my blog but anyway, i am going to pick-up my packet today after lunch (cant miss that). woo hoo, a new race t-shirt and hopefully some cool freebies... i also get to walk around the expo, which is sure to have awesome stuff for running that i will want and enjoy!!! i am going to look for some special 'fruit snacks' and some more electrolyte stuff to enjoy while i am running.... yeah i have a little pouch i wear while i run long distances.... it keeps my goodies like the stuff above and ibprofen when i am hurting etc.... its awe....

i am getting more anxious and totally pumped.... whoa baby.... after Sunday i will be a MARATHON RUNNER! i am totally excited about that... the finishing part! i will totally do another one, i already know!

please keep me in your prayers... ill need them for sure!!!

MARATHON

OH MY GOSH.....


the marathon is in 3 days!!!! aghhhhhhh! that is crazy to me. i have been training for over 7 months and it is all coming to a head this sunday. i am going to run 26.2 miles! i am ready, but still nervous, but excited at the same time.

please keep my in your prayers as i am getting ready for it.

in other news, it seems like i am lying, but i do have pictures to post. here is the deal... i have a lot and blogger has a sucky way of uploading them that takes forever. they need to be like facebook where you can upload a bunch at once, not just 5 at a time.

anyways, we have had a lot going on and i have a ton to post pictures of. ill get to it one day.

tonight it chans office party and that should be fun. then the marathon... then my office party next week... one weekend off to do EVERYTHING...pack for cruise, get ready for xmas, clean the house top to bottom spick and span. man we have a TON to do. then we have xmas, then 2 days later we leave on our cruise. thank you LORD!

with everything going on in the economy and in the world right now, i am ready to start fresh! this has been a great year with many blessings that we are SOOOO thankful for, but with all the negativity right now, i am ready for some new attitudes for the new year. start happy and fresh and new.

ok ok ok

hey everyone

i do have pictures to post but i do not have them uploaded and some of them i dont have in my posession yet. so, as soon as i get them i will post them.

we have been super super busy with family here over the week of thanksgiving. it was so fun spending time with them and seeing our sweet niece Judah. she has grown so much and is talking a lot and its so fun to hear whats going on in that little mind of hers. it is sad that they live so far from us.

we also went to cut our tree down the friday after thanksgiving at a christmas tree farm... ill take a picture of that too and post it later. it was rainy and cold like it was last year and we have decided that, that is the weather that makes it fun!

we went to abilene last weekend to see them play another playoff game in the championships, but they lost. it was a good game though, despite losing both my heels in sinking decieving mud. it was funny... and we werent prepared for how cold it got up in the stands, but we still had a great time.

this week marks about two weeks til my marathon and i had my last long run until the marathon this last sunday.... from now on it is shorter runs up until the marathon. we are both very busy at work right now and chandler's company is hosting a HUGE bomanite 'convention' at their offices this week and that is making him very busy on top of everyday work. but we are very thankful for our great jobs. i cant say that enough in times like this. it is tough out there, but we are still thankful.

anyways, this weekend we are traveling to houston to visit my cousin jennifer and her family for zacharys (her oldest son's) birthday! he is turning two and we cant wait to visit with them this weekend.

happenings....and 22 miles....yeah boy

sorry i have slacked on the blog lately... i dont really have any new pictures right now. maybe i will take some tonight of us getting our christmas stuff down.

we had a great relaxing fun weekend. friday night we just relaxed after working out and cooked fajitas, yummm... we did get a scary phone call from chan's mom that her boston terrier had gotten out and she couldnt find him... it was very scary but just as we were pulling out of our neighborhood we got a call that they had finally found him. thank goodness, it is so scary when a dog gets out especially when they are like a part of your family.

anyways, saturday i did hair and then we went to run on and got me some new shoes (the same kind just new) so i could actually run without pain! then we went and decorated chans office a little bit. it looks more like an office now and less like a jail cell.

we ate dinner at BJs that night with chan brother and his roomates and chans mom! what a good dinner. we finished the night playing scrabble and wtaching a little football.

sunday was church, which we liked and then i ran my 22 miles yesterday!!!!!! whoa man that was a LONG run. but, i finished and now i only have shorter runs til the marthon!!! i am getting there and i am getting more and more anxious as i wait for it to get here. the goal is just to finish! chan was very very supportive yesterday while i ran and i even came home to all the houseowork being done... i didnt have anything to worry about to begin the week! thanks babe!

yesterday was chan's official birthday but i am a day late posting it on here....

anyways.... happy birthday to my sweet husband who i love so much! i hope it was great and that 27 brings you lots of fun!!! love you more than you know....

so, tonight we are traveling to Ft Worth to celebrate Tami and Chan's birthdays and really just to hang out! we are going to joe t's and then to the flying saucer. should be a night full o fun! tomorrow i think i am cutting tami's hair and then we should be relaxing for the rest of the weekend. sunday i am doing more hair!!!

this week and weekend....

so this week i have been busy getting ready for thehalf marathon on Sunday. i think it will be fun, but i am a little anxious about it. this week the market has been better than the last few weeks, thank goodness! its sometimes sad to see how the markets are doing everyday all day.

this weekend started off nicely with a ride to work with Chan. we are going to go get some drinks and an early dinner after work so we car-pooled. it was fun having someone to ride to work with today. the plan is to go to BJ's and then back home to watch the episode of the office, the 'halloween' episode we missed last night which is perfect because it is actually halloween! i have decided though that i think we are going to keep our lights off only because we will be trying tp watch it and last year the trick or treaters came really late and also got older by that time too. i had a couple of upper classman high schoolers at my door which really kind of annoyed me. anyways, sorry... i know my kids will one day want to trick or treat but we wont be knocking or ringing peoples doorbells at 9:30 at night. thats creepy.

tomorrow i think we are going to go out to breakfast and then i have to run a few miles. i think i am also going to do my hair color again because i went over a lot of blonde the first time a few weeks ago it has faded fast and so this time it will grab a little better!! i love it though.... my mom did a good job helping me the first time... i think chan is going to attempt this time. tomorrow afternoon is Chelsea's wedding shower! that should be fun and hopefully i will get to see some people i haven't seen in a long time! tomorrow night we are laying low because i have the half on Sunday and need a good nights rest! chan said there is a big football game on and i actually knew what one he was talking about.... thank goodness for the ticket!

anyways, i hope to have some kind of pictures from this weekend and hopefully from the half. also, i am going to try and get chan to take our xmas card photos this weekend.... stay tuned... they are gonna be good!!!!

ok so.....

friday afternoon we finally headed out of the metroplex around 4pm. we got to abilene to bryson's moms house around 6:30 or 6:45pm. not a bad drive at all. we arrived with drinks ready and appetizers ready!!! it was great! we got to meet chris and nicole right away and their little boy Camp. the boys cooked the steaks and we all ate a big dinner thanks to the guys and bryson's mom. what a great hostess!!! we all went to bed with full bellys and we were ready to sleep.

saturday morning we got up to eat a wonderful breakfast and have some coffee. we went straight to the acu homecoming parade to see all the floats. there were some good ones. it was a short parade though and then we were off to go look at houses with bryson and tami since they are moving there in January... booo... the house hunting was fun for chan and i because it isnt so urgent for us. it is becoming frustrating for them because they havent found the right one yet. i remember how that feels. i just know they will find the right one soon...

after we looked at a few houses we went to joe allens for lunch and some beers. it was a good rest before the big game. we went to the football game after that against tarleton and ACU WON! it was a fun game and great weather...

we went to dinner at abuelos and had a great time there.... great food and great fun! we went to hang out afterwards at chris and nicole's house and hung out by the fire pit and just relaxed and enjoyed their great house! we were entertained by Camp quite often. chan and i hope we have as cute of a kid as that. hopefully we are that lucky.

sunday morning was breakfast at la popular.... only the best burritos EVER!!!! we drove around campus after that because we hadnt looked at it since they have done all of the updating and stuff. they are building a lot of new things and it really is looking great!!

we packed up after that and headed out back to dallas. i ran and we got stuff ready for the week.... back to the real world... we missed abilene.... never thought i'd say that, but it was true! we had a great weekend there and had a great weekend with bryson and tami! thanks again to bryson's mom for housing us for the weekend.... she was so sweet... even though i forgot to get a picture with her!!!

we cant wait to go back and visit bryson and tami after the new year!!!!!!

soon, my brother and sister-n-law and niece judah are coming to town for thanksgiving.... i totally cant wait to see them all.... they are missed around here a lot!
